How Couples Therapy Can Help

Therapy is proven to be a transformative tool for navigating complex relationship dynamics. At Glenda McIntosh Therapy, I provide a specialist, inclusive space for all couples—including same-sex partners and those in ENM or polyamorous structures. Whether you are navigating crisis and betrayal, communication issues, a loss of intimacy or conflict resolution, we will navigate this together in the safety of the therapeutic space. My goal is to facilitate clear communication, bring patterns into awareness, promote connection and heal wounds.

Communication Breakdowns

Move beyond circular arguments to understand the underlying issues that leave you both feeling unheard.

Navigating Transitions

Whether managing career shifts, bereavement, or family changes, therapy provides a grounded space to process these life-altering pressures together.

Constant tension

We look at the impact life and stresses have on your intimacy, helping you protect and strengthen your connection.

Relational Diversity

I offer non-judgmental support for same-sex couples and those navigating polyamory or Ethical Non-Monogamy (ENM) structures.

Is Couples Therapy Right For Us?

Couples often request sessions when the relationship is in crisis and that’s a good reason to choose therapy, but many come sooner if they notice negative patterns, feel stuck in the same arguments, or find certain topics have become ‘no-go’ areas. It is also a useful method for repairing after a betrayal or similar rupture.

Success might mean resolving conflict, improving communication, or choosing to uncouple amicably. I offer a neutral space to observe and reflect, supporting both traditional and diverse relationships, including same-sex couples, polyamory, and Ethical Non-Monogamy (ENM).

Session Fees: £85 per 60-minute session.
